Intes Micro Mak-Newts, any opinions on these?

I'm looking for opinions on the MN-56 and MN-66 Intes Micro Mak-Newts. Do they really perform like an APO. I have read the reviews on the different websites but want some other opinions.

BTW, what is the difference between the Mak-Cassegrain and Mak-Newt? Is a Mak-Cassegrain mostly for photography?

Mak-Cassegrains are similar to Schmidt-Cassegrains.
Advantages are small size -- the length is only two
or three times the diameter. Dis-advantage is the
large central obstruction from the secondary mirror --
usually around 33%. Typically they are F/10 - F/12
focal ratio (focal length / diameter).

Mak-Newt is similar to Newtonian, except theres a
corrector plate in the front. Length is 6 - 8 times
the diameter, so they are much larger. Usually
the central obstruction is very small - 15% - 20%.
Typically F/6 to F/8.

Either can be used for photography.

I've got a couple Russian Mak-Newts. Very happy with
them. They do take a while to cool down unless there
is a fan. Images are close to APO quality, as there is
no spider and the diagonal is small. But if you look
closely at star images between Mak-Newt and APO
you can still tell theres a central obstruction
in the Mak-Newt. APO puts slightly more light in
Airy disk. But its a small difference and the
price is probably 1/4 - 1/6 cost of similar size
APO.
