I recently purchased a MN56 that had a JMI dual focuser on it. Now the problem is that I have to extend the drawtube way out and even then I have to take out the eyepiece in order to get the object I am looking at to focus. Is there any solution to this problem for I find this mildly annoying.

Doesn't JMI sell focuser extension tubes? Check their web site. Other folks sell them, including Lumicon, I'm sure others. But an extension tube is what you need.

I have a new 5" MN from Intes Micro by way of ITE. The standard crayford focuser is designed so that both the 2" and the 1.25" sections have drawtubes. I sometimes need to use them both to achieve focus, but then the focuser is a rather low profile with only @1" of travel.
