Hi I'm contemplating the purchase of a new scope to compliment my 10" LX-200. I was set to get a refractor but the deal that Meade has on the ETX's is worth a look at. I have a set of premium 2" eyepieces and I would like to know if it is possible to use them in the ETX. I know that you can’t use 2" the eyepieces in the built in diagonal but can you add a visual back to the back of the ETX and use a 2" diagonal in that? Thanks.

Ok after searching around the net I found the adapter that is needed. It is a SCT Large Accessory Ring that you can see here: http://www.pisanoopticians.com/Astro/scopetronix.htm Next question is what effect will the small rear opening have on the performance of 2" eyepieces such as the 31mm Nag and the 20mm Nag. Thanks.
