JMI DX1 and a 6" Mak-Newt

How can I mount the focuser on to an Orion Mak-Newt? I assume an Intes MN-61 would be the same design issue. The base plate attached to the helical focuser does not seem to be suitable for re-use on the JMI. I know it has been done before, but could not find any details around it.

Focuser looks really neat sitting in the box sad

Check out these two ads that show MN-61 with
JMI and the stock helical mounted. Compare the
middle photo of first ad showing JMI, and the
first photo of second ad where you can see the
left-over JMI mount holes (stock helical
mounted). Its not my scope, so I can't say
how well it worked, but it looks straight-
forward.
