Hi all,
I have a JMI Max connected to my Losmandyt G-11, and trying to run it on my computer. I have hooked it up to The Sky, and it seems to be communicating correctly. After alignment, it works pretty good for just a few minutes, then deteriorates. I set The Sky it to Digital setting circles, and it reports just its pointing location in big type. I would expect it to be steady. In fact, it just continues to change one arc second (reportedly on the screen) for every about one second of real time.
Every second or so it moves one second on right ascension. The star is staying in the center of the FOV on the reticle eyepiece, but the location is reporting one second difference.
Dec seems fine.
I'm guessing I either have the number of tics on the encoder wrong, or it is set for a non-tracking mount. At any rate--what should I do?
Alex
