Hi all,

I can use help with my Long and Lat coordinates. I went to a site on MAPUG and for my location, it gives me coordinates but I do not understand how I enter these into my LX200.
Is there some type of conversion?
Any help in this area would greatly help.

The coordinates are :

LAT :40.37088
LONG :-76.11028

THANKS
GEORGE

Somewhere north of Lancaster, PA?
If yours is like the Nextar 8 you have to multiply the decimal portion x 60 to give minutes of lat and long. When you enter the lat, ie, 42* 22', you will probably have to confirm + or - for N or S hemisphere. When you enter the long, your first digit will be a 0, ie, 076* 06', then confirm the long is W.
I hope this is correct, as I'm giving the way it is on the Celestron Nextar 8.
