Meade 16" Mirror Thickness

I've gotten conflicting information on this question. Does anybody know what is the thickness of Meade's 16" parabolic primary mirrors? Thanks.

This would depend on when the mirror what made. But 2" at least would be the answer. Seems to me earlier ones were even thicker.

Mine is a tad bit over 1.5 inches if I remember correctly...

Having built cells for several of them, I'm pretty confident they were based on 1-5/8" sheet pyrex.
