Hello, recently my old Meade LXD75 goto system died. I have have narrowed down the issue to the main PCB board that drives the RA motor. I bought new FET's and replaced them, but the RA drive is still dead. The motor itself powers on fine. Anyway,I rarely used the goto option anyway but I do need the normal tracking capability especially in RA. My question is, does anyone know if it is possible to just remove the goto Autostar motors and electronics and replace it with a simple bolt on RA and DEC motor tracking system? I suspect that the LXD75 standard mount gearing is similar to some of the other more inexpensive mounts out there where this is an option.
