Mosquito Remedies.... hmmmmm.....

Perhaps some of you read the post a few days ago about mosquitos remedies. Here is what I found when I tried them....

Ok... Bounce doesn't work. Tried this. All it did was make me smell like a fabric sheet softner. The mosquitos just couldn't wait to cuddle up with me, nor could my wife, until she saw all the bloody welts on my body when I turned on the light. Perhaps you meant "Snuggle Sheets?"

I thought you said, "EAT" banana's. Not only did the mosquitos like me but they brought some monkeys with them and had a party tearing my a$$ up.

My wife thought I was nuts planting all the flowers. Seems that I watered them so much that the standing puddles made perfect breeding grounds for, you guessed it, more mosquitos.

I liked the idea about the alcohol and Marines. Problem was that I, being a Navy man, drank more of it then I used in your home brew. Next thing I know I'm so drunk that I drink the Avon Skin-so-soft and then lather up my whole body with baby oil. Lets just say this it was bad all together, especially when the neighbors drove by a few minutes later.

The mosquitos ate my frog.

Now what?

That's hilarious - I have found that one of the best defenses against mosquitos is humor. I did try wearing an old long sleeve shirt that I sprayed with DEET based repellant last night, it seemed to work quite well. Of course you to make sure you get it all off your hands and avoid getting on equipment since it melts plastic, paint, coatings, etc.

The only EPA approved and effective repellents contain DEET to use on your skin, or permethrin to use on your clothes. The mosquitoes that transmit viral encephalitis bite primarily at dusk and the early morning hours, so do your prime viewing from 10PM to 3AM. You may want to check the CDC website: www.cdc.gov for more information.
