mount for a C9.25

I just bought a used Celestron 9.25 OTA even though I couldn't really afford it. Now I need to come up with an inexpensive mount to use until I can afford to upgrade to something solid. Anyone have any thoughts on making do with an Orion Skywatcher Pro or a Synta EQ5 or the forthcoming Advanced Series EQ5 from Celestron? The folks at ITE told me not to bother with a cheap mount and that I needed a Losmandy G-11, but that's just not realistic for me. Any thoughts?---Peter

HEQ5 Mount is nice steady mount. I have a C9.25 sitting on it now. HEQ5 is a smaller version of the EQ6 and supports up to a 25 pound OTA. Although I may be returning my HEQ5 because my Digital setting circles do Not fit on the Mount. That mount is about $640.00 US Dollars. Comes with a 1.5 inch steel tube tripod, which is actually not all that bad. If all you plan to do is view, and are not serious about Astrophotography, this mount is a good choice. Plus the mount and tripod only weigh 48 pounds, so moving it is also convenient compared to heavier mounts.
