Old Paracorr

All,
I have an old Paracorr. This model has no lock sleeve, so it is leaving set screw marks on eyepieces.
I see there is an add-on Televue TE-PTT-2002 Paracorr Top available. Anyone know for sure this will fit my Paracorr?
Or,
Anyone know if it may be possible to have a machinist cut a channel so I can add a sleeve into the slot as set screw protection?

Buying the Televue Tunable Top would be the cheapest way.

Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks,
Greg H.

I think I've got the same old Paracorr you have --
its got the brass thumbscrew permanantly attached.
Yes, the PTT-2002 works fine with it. Another
solution would be to cut off the brass thumbscrew,
and replace with a nylon one from ScopeStuff.com.

Hi,
Thanks for your replies.

I'm not sure of the material used in the screw in my Paracorr, yet. I might opt for the nylon thumb screw method.

On the other fix, I'm not sure I need the Tunable top. On some ads they make it sound as if using the top you do a lot of guessing of the setting to use for a given eyepiece.
