I picked an as-new C8N-SGT on Craigslist last weekend for a very good price. The handset firmware is version 3.04, which as I understand it, is not user-upgradeable.
I'm more of a "find things completely by visual reference" style of hobbyist, but can see that sometimes the GOTO feature would be handy.
Is there enough of a feature benefit in the 4.0 and later firmware versions that it would be worth locating an upgradeable handset replacement?
I'd be interested to hear from anyone in my same situation.
