panoptic 15mm plus 2.5x tv barlow for planets?

good or bad idea? i am not a fan of the pinhole effect of uo orthos and find them clinical. I want to feel more emotionally involved in the view (like people who have 2" focusers feel) and on my xt8 dob i don't want to track push track push so often due to tiny fov. so backing off and using a barlow sounds like the order of the day. i have a 2.5x tv barlow, and am considering adding a radian 10mm and a 15 or maybe 19mm panoptic thus effectively getting 4 eps out of the two premiums. i hear the 19mm gets better reviews at ed tings and the like, but is it that different. the 15 would probably be more useful to me as it's barlowed power would be better for planets.

to save you some calculation, the xt8 is 1200mm fl.
so:
a 15mm panoptic would give 80 power normally, and 200 power barlowed.

a 10mm radian would give 120 normally and 300 barlowed for those exceptional nights. otherwise i have found 250x to be more usable.

thoughts?

It seems every time a 15 Panoptic is mentioned on this forum the comment is made about its lack of eyerelief. I personally find this not to be true, and I have compared it to Radians, Naglers and XL's. I admit it is the tightest of all the Panoptics, but I find it comfortable (I don't use glasses when viewing). I have not used it with the 2.5x Powermate, but have with several other premium barlows, including the new 2x Powermate. I find the combo in every case to be sharp, to the point that I sold a 6mm Radian that, IMHO, was not as good as the Panoptic/barlow combo.
All this is, as stated, jusy my most humble opinion, which man not even be worth .02.!!

what is the diff between that and pentax 14mm smc xl ?

are these 2 things the same thing?

also will it work in my 1.25" focuser? 1200mm focal length f6 xt8 8" dob?
