Hi all,

Am thinking of buying a mount and am looking at the ParamountME! I know its expensive but what I'd like to know is it really as good as it sounds.

Thanks,

Apparently, yes.

The other night, I was watching one work. I saw it flip the meridian, and then continue its imaging. it took some god-awful number of exposures that night. It's owner was asleep the whole time. He said it did its thing wonderfully well and he got great data, including the meridian flip. And after the flip, it was right where it belonged.

It sure is smart.

Hi Benny,

The Paramount ME is worth the investment. As I got involved with CCD imaging, I found that the mount was the most important factor. Without a solid and accurate tracking mount that could be pointed with near perfection, imaging is a trying task. I found that with a great mount I could be most productive, each image well tracked with round stars. The integrated software suite works very well. I could not be happier with the ME. There are certainly other good mounts out there such as AP and Takahashi, but the ME is at the top. You will not regret having one.
