I have no experience with them but would try them to finish my never done scope, if I ever get it from Starbuckets.

That's the risk you take with going less tried route - that many years later you have no money, no Zambuto optics, no scope and no replies from the garage maker.

I had a good experience with him designing a kit for me to assemble. He just moved from northern to southern California, so I am not sure if he is open for business again.

Good luck with the Starbuckets thing--that would have left a pretty sour taste in my mouth too.

As for dobstuff, an observing acquaintance had a good experience with a 10" from them. I saw the scope, and it's a nicely executed Albert Highe-style thing. Be sure you want that type of design--it's very light and convenient, but the single ring secondary support doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me in smaller apertures.
