That looks like quite a bit of stuff and probably a reasonable value. The Meade LX-200 Series is probably the best SCT for Astrophotography and there is a wedge, a definite necessity.
However, I am.am not sure sn 8 inch SCT is the ideal.scope as a first scope for AP. The long focal length makes alignment more critical. I think a small apo refractor is a better choice.
Also, AP is incredibly difficult, so many details, so many things to know. I recommend starting visually and then once you know your way around the night sky, once you know your way around a telescope, then consider Astrophotography.
