Recommended dealers?

I am looking at purchasing a new Celestron C9.25 SCT. I don't have any local telescope dealers, so I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation on a reputable online dealer.

Thanks

Verle, I've heard rumors of an exceptional company called Anacortes Telescopes, run by some fellow named Herb. You might try them. :-) DR

Verle,
Just move your mouse to the little bird & telescope in the bottom left corner of this screen and click. You won't go wrong.

I bought my Nexstar 5i two weeks ago from Anacortes, even though there *is* a scope dealer within driving distance. The reason was partially the sale AWTB had going but the other was that this (unnamed) local place has one of the worst customer service attitudes I've seen anywhere.

One of my fondest Hit The Lottery dreams is not just to get my dream scope but to open a local shop that actually cares about people who walk in.

Obviously, since Anacortes sponser this site, they should be highly considered....but, I think you should also give Hands on Optics (www.handsonoptics.com) a try. I have dealt with Gary a number of times and I find he and his wife to be the most honest and patient people as you can find. I have been very happy with them. This is coming from as "novice" a backyard astronomer as you will find.

Clear Skies,

Rich

The Celestron website has a list of dealers:

The Excelsis website has a user rating of dealers. I would, however, take some of the comments with a grain of salt:

Company 7 has provided me superb after-sale service. For a buy-at-the-best-price place, Astronomics.
