Regarding Counterweight

Hi I am currently using CPC925 SCT with WO carbon fiber 2" dielectric diagonal and agena 30mm 2" ultra wide(1lb and 4.1 oz). I heard that counterweight reduce the stress of the motor thus elimate the chances of screwing up the motor. The question is how can u tell if the accessories are too heavy? How can u check? btw I am using Alz-Alt mount. Is the above equipment too heavy? I have a dew shield as well
