:SS does. Anyone know somewhere I could purchase this dodad ? Screws in bottom of shaft to prevent weights from falling off,cg4mount. smile

If you can't find the correct part, you could always use a fender washer with a bolt. That is what I did on my Meade Starfinder.

A fender washer is a oversized washer but with a smaller hole.
