How can I determine what version of Sky Commander I have? It was purchased w/ a Starmaster telescope in November of 2007.

When you turn the Sky Commander on, the version will show on the screen just before it prompts you to find your alignment stars. Is yours the black or white box? The white box would most likely be v.3.38 and is not upgradable, while the black XP4 probably has the latest updated version. If it's the XP4, it should have come with a data cable for downloads. You can go to www.skyeng.com for instructions on downloading.
