Hello friends:
I can't get my Sky Commander to talk to my computer. Why can't they just get along? Can you help me? I'm using Earth Centered Universe Program, also called ECU. I've set both ECU and the Sky Commander at 9600 baud and I also tried both at 2400 baud. The ECU manual says that the Sky Commander must have its serial interface ENABLED. However, the Sky Commander manual does not say how to do this. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thank you!

I had the same problem. I had the Polarity backwards on my external power supply. After I reworked the plug and corrected the polarity problem I had no more problems connecting to the computer. You might also check the Baud rate on the Sky Commander.

Nope, that didn't work. But thanks for the thought Ed. Anyone else have any ideas. OK...I know you've all got other things to do so I'm gonna offer a reward for the first person who can help me. How about five RED LED keychain lights? Yes, I really will send them to you if you can get my Sky Commander to talk to my ECU program.

I imagine you might have checked this, but have you gone into your computer's BIOS to see if the serial port is enabled? Usually this is done by pressing a function key upon startup, depends on your pc which key to try.
