Is there a software program that provides a solid observing and planning set-up along with a relatively realistic view of objects? Starry Night Pro looks good, realistic, but it doesn't seem to provide the planning software like an ephemeric generator like some others do. I have been looking at Sky Tools, as they seem to provide great planning software, but looking at their screen shots, their rendition of the planets and DSOs looks like I drew 'em on my sketchpad (which is not a compliment). I want to have a software that can help me star hop to new objects that I haven't seen, with the program providing a realistic rendition of the object in order to help me see details that I would have otherwise not seen.
Probably what I am looking for doesn't exist, but the software doesn't necessarily have to be cheap (I am not readily held back by cost), just good enough (at least having decent images, but focusing mainly on planning/logs).

Try Sky Tools: http://www.skyhound.com/

I use it and I'm happy with the photorealistic charts and planning tools.
