I have used my personal DSC P52 digital camera to take pictures through my Meade refractor using the afocal technique and wishing to obtain the best resolution and image size I bought a used DSC P52 camera and removed the lens assembly to focus directly on the CCD chip. However, the camera has firmware that tries to initialize the focus which fails without the lens in place and an error code (E61:10) flashes and while the image is displayed on the LCD monitor, no picture will be stored. Does anyone have information that would allow me to bypass this code and store the image? Thanks for your attention.
