Spider Identification

Can anyone tell me what kind of spider this is? I discovered it on the side of my home and had never seen anything like it.

One hell of an ugly one, if I might say! I didn't think Orion is using this model in their XT-10 yet.

Looks like a wolf spider...we get them around our house too. They are pretty docile, and much scarier looking than they really are. They capture food by hunting, rather than by using a web to trap prey. More information than you wanted?

Is there a pond or creek nearby?

I'm thinking it's a variety of either a Fisher or Wolf.

Cheers.
