My Meade LX 200 GPS is having some electronic problems, and the wife is considering letting me get a new scope grin

I am thinking about Celestron. I read in one of the astronomy magazines a review of one, in which they stated that the scope had a built in dew heater, but I don't remember which scope they reviewed.

I can't find the magazine in which the article appeared.

Can anyone shed some light as to which scope has a built in dew heater, and is this a good idea (getting one with the built in heaters)??

Don't know if it's good idea or not, but the Meade RCX 200 has them. They are a necessary evil for telescopes with corrector plates. :S

How do you plan on using the scope? Ease of transport or imaging? Are you "married" to an SCT? Lots of other kinds of telescopes out there. smile
