Threaded spacers 5mm or so

I have a little problem. I need about 5mm of space between my .8 focal reducer/flattener and my T Ring.

The male threads on the reducer are about 5mm long and the female threads on the T Ring are more than that (not an issue).

The problem is that any thin spacer in the 2mm - 4.5mm range can't fully seat the 5mm of the reducer threads, adding the difference to the total space.

e.g. 2mm spacer threads 1.4mm of the reducer in, resulting in 5.6mm of overall space.

So how do I get another 5mm of space in there?

You can buy t-ring spacers, check the Internet.

Agree with Floyd. Spacers were always needed at work and I recall we found spacer "sets" for C, T etc. that had a whole stack of spacers and even ring-shaped shims so in theory you could get ANYTHING you want just by stacking them in different ways to accuracy of 0.001 inch! I think they may have been Newport but just don't recall for sure. The sets weren't cheap...but neither was out program time. That was the nice thing about work. Hobby stuff is mostly plywood and cardboard for me now! Sorry for bloviating so much... Tom

Thanks, I have tried the Internet of course. I purchased a 2mm ring but there aren't enough threads to engage the t ring. Still looking.
