Does anyone have some info on this model of older giant binoculars? I want to buy a pair from someone who purchased them new in 1979, used them briefly, and has since then stored them in a closet . They do not know the prism type, BAK 7 or 4 but they are in like new condition and say fully coated. Are all giant binos from this era (late 70's early 80"s) made with BAK7 prisms? I'm thinking yes but not sure. I know UO sold these for years and probably updated them as time went on but can't find any specs. I'm sure these were probably very well made but are images through BAK7 binos always inferior to those with BAK4?
