Use Windows laptop to control Meade ETX 125EC?

Hi, I recently picked up a Meade ETX125EC on Craigslist. The scope works great but it lacks an AutoStar or AudioStar controller, which are impossible to find in the days of COVID 19. Just wondering if I can use my laptop and a USB to RJ10 cable as a substitute. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your input.
