Vixen Polaris Question

I just picked up a Vixen Polaris and wondered how to connect a telescope with a dovetail style plate to it. I can see how you can connect rings, but not a regular dovetail. I notice Losmandy has an adaptor for the Polaris, but I am not sure what it is for. Any ideas would be helpfull. Thnaks, Jack
