Zoom Barlow?

Let me first say that I am a fan of my 8-24mm Zoom EP. For my casual use it serves me very well. I like the ability to zoom to just the right f.l. without changing eps. That said, there are two things I would like to improve.

1) the narrow FOV
2) the focal length range doesn't quite fit my needs

What was thinking would be perfect is a 1-3X Zoom Barlow. Then I could use it with any EP I wanted.

Does anythging like this exist?

Thanks,
Dave

I don't think we'll see a high quality Zoom Barlow from an EP maker -- bad for business.

The Speers 8-5mm (4.7mm according to review) has ~80* FOV throughout its range, and is back in production. I'm hoping someone would buy a new one (from Helix) and post a review.

Isn't it true that a Barlow's magnification depends on its extension, i.e. position of the EP? If so, every Barlow is already a (limited) zoom. The question is image quality...
