30xw

I have a 34 Siebert observatory ep now and like it alot, but I think I still need something with a smaller exit pupil. I have a 10" f/5 Gso Dob. Any impressions on the 30 xw as an alternative? I was also considering a 26 t5 as well. Any 30xw owners out there have any comment on this ep?

Hi Brian,
I have a 20xw and 30xw and love them for the ease of looking through them. To the question of what is a good low power exit pupil, it depends on you and your eyes. Being so close to the 34, I think the expense of a 30xw is not justified by exit pupil alone. If the Pentax is to be a replacement then go for it. You'll love it. I use mine as the low power eyepiece for my F6 mak-newt.
