Best Eyepieces for a Celestron Comet Catcher

I've re-discovered the joys of a small fast scope. I recently bought a Meade DS2000 PST mount and found that it works great with my Celestron Comet Catcher.

Any opinions as to which eyepieces might yield the best views in this very fast 5.5" f/3.64 scope? I've been playing around with a 19mm Panoptic, but even this eyepiece seems to display a bit of coma at the edges.

Thanks in advance for your ideas!!!

There will be a lot of coma near the edges at F/3.64 unless you use a coma corrector... But you will also see some artifacts like astigmatism that result from the eyepiece's inability handle the steep "light cone." Nagler seem to handle the fastest focal ratios best... A Nagler plus a Paracorr can provide some pretty amazing views in an F/4 but of course the cost adds up.

The best EP at a very cheap price in a fast scope is a Plossl.

I find that in fast scopes, just use a Powermate to get the focal ratio to f/8 or longer, then use whatever eyepieces you want to use.

A 1.25" 2.5X Powermate would be ideal for the Comet Catcher.
