Hi - I own 2 valuable older eyepieces which have internal issues. The first is a Clave' plossl which I have owned for several years - i don't remember its fl - and the second is a Gailand 28mm Ortho i just bought. Some time back - perhaps a year or 2 ago - i sold another Clave' with similar issues to an Astromarter who was able to disassemble it and clean it up. The purpose of this post is to locate that gentleman, in hopes he might be willing to operate on my 2 - or failing that, to find someone else who has the experience and time required to do the job correctly. Thanks very much - Ernie Spragg

I've seen a number of the Gailand 28mm Orthos where the coating on the inner surface of the field lens is shot. Apparently they had a batch or two where they did not clean the glass very well before applying the coatings.
