OK, It's becoming clear that my skies aren't and I'm going crazy for want of a star-lite night. Nothing better to do than start a new thread...

What is the best SET of eyepieces for an 11" f10 system? The set should be para-focal, NOT require switching between 1.25" and 2" barrels, and have a pleasant eye relief, say around 15mm. As a bonus, the field of view should progress smoothly as power decreases.

All ideas welcome!!!

Thanks for indulging a crazy person, and please pass the cloud filter!

Ok, the silence is deafening, so here's an idea...

All 2" Tele Vue and para-focal to boot...

55mm Plossl
26mm Nagler 5
17mm Nagler 4
8mm Ethos
6mm Ethos

I wasn't able to plug the "gap" between the 17mm and 8mm. It might not be necessary. In my 11" f10, these would yield 59', 46', 30', 17', and 13', respectively.

Cheers!

In my 9" Mak, its Brandons.

In my refractors, its Tak LE's and Brandons, tie.
The 5mm LE stands out in that lineup.

Dobs: 32 Televue Plossl with and w/o 5x Powermate. Thats all I need sometimes.
For whatever reason its only Televue in dobs for me.

Radians do the trick all the time, at least for me ! no matter what scope I use.
In your case the 18mm gives you 155X
14mm 200x
12mm 233x
10mm 279x
8mm 349x
6mm 465x

You can do the math for the rest, but I don't think you will see any further benefits from any other shorter focal length ep.

However,my suggestion does not include any lower mags, since the Radian series stops at the 18mm unit.
