Hi All,

I hear a bit now and then about the University Optics Klee 2.8x Barlow. I happen to have a University Optics Wide Field 3x Barlow. I bought this unit in either 1987 or 1988 and have always been very happy with it. It has the zebra striping around the barrel. The catalog I have indicates that it is a Pretoria air-spaced triplet. I suspect it pre-dates the Klee 2.8x.

Does anyone know the history behind these barlows? Thanks!

Hi Blake,

I may have the same model. IIRC, I purchased this just prior to seeing the Klee 2.8x in the UO catalog. Is your barlow marked "Wide Field?" The unit I have is marked "Wide View 3x." Just curious.

Clear skies,
Kevin
