Considering an 8-24 zoom eyepiece. I thought they were all the same, but the William-Optics version advertises 8 elements in 5 groups where the TV has 7 elements in 4 groups. Any comparison of the two?

AFAIK the WO is the same as the Proxima zoom from Hands on Optics. Brief review of Proxima at cloudynights: http://www.cloudynights.com/item.php?item_id=1221
