Does anyone have any experience with the Galactica 360 Clamshell Observatories, specifically the 7' diameter model?

They have one up at Hopkins. There are actual two companies that produce essentially the same product.

I talked with Trevor Weekes about it and he says it works pretty good. They remote the dome and use it for one purpose only and that's to test atmospheric clarity.

I was going to buy one when we lived in Sun City West but since we moved the CC&R's won't allow one that big so as soon as the house is completed I'm putting in a Robo-Dome.
