Hello all, I'm VERY new to using telescopes and have run into speedbump. I'm trying to attach a Celestron 130 SLT to an iOptron CEM25P and I'm about to go out of my mind. I've attached a picture that illustrates my problem.
When I load up the scope to balance it, it's too heavy to use the tiny dovetail that came with the Celestron, so I purchased some 160mm Losmandy rings (one of which doesn't even fit, damn it,) along with an AstroTech 7" Vixen dovetail. Unfortunately, both the mount and the ring attachments seem to use a Losmandy D style openings so it's almost like I need a dual-sided vixen dovetail (which I can't find anywhere.) The only dual-sided dovetails I can find are Vixen/Arca.
Do I need to get a different kind of adapter, or even a second dovetail and stack them? I'm trying to figure this out without buying parts I don't need and of course, none of these things come with any documentation. Grrr.
If anyone knows what part(s) I should get, I'd appreciate the info. Thank you!
