Lin Optical EQ Mount

Anyone has any experience with this mount?

Any comment?

I am looking for a visual mount for my 4" refractor (Tak FSQ 106N).

Looks like the mount Meade used to use on their old 80mm f/11 'scope about 20 years ago. The parent design is Mizar of Japan, i believe. The design was copied a few years ago and marketed as Orion Sky View Deluxe, Spectiva, and a few other brand names. i think they're made in Taiwan these days. There are a few variations in the method of cradle mounting, declination slo-mo (tangent vs. 360 gearing,) dec shaft diameter, paint colour, etc. but the mount is basically the same from brand to brand. i use one under a 75mm f/16 and an 80mm f/11 from time to time. It does a nice job.

PS: the Tak may be a bit heavy for it... How long is that 'scope?
