There is an Orion Atlas EQ mount available in my area. It's being sold with the 10" f 4.7 newtonian OTA on it. Everything I've read about the setup says it's good for visual, but not steady enough for imaging. I'm thinking about purchasing it, building a dobson mount for the OTA, and using the mount with a refractor for imaging.
Any opinions on the Atlas EQ mount?
I can stabilize the tripod, but is it accurate enough and worth it?
