I am looking for an alt/az mount to which I can mount my Nikon camera. At a later time when funds permit, I plan on adding a refractor to this mount and then mount the camera on the refractor. The OTA I think I will get is the Orion 80 that so many have given high marks, but I would like to have a mount that tracks so I can play with some long exposure wide field stuff over winter till the cash kitty builds up again. Any suggestions? And as with all hobbies, price is the sticking point. I would like to keep it under $300. I realze this is not new equipment. I just need some direction on what to look at in the used arena.
