I am seeking some assistance from those who have successfully used Celestron's Starsense to auto align an Evolution mount with the Sky Portal software. One Youtube video makes it look easy and, after speaking with Celestron's tech support, it still sounded easy. However, after connecting the Starsense camera to an auxiliary port on the mount(without connecting the SS hand controller), after powering up the mount and my Android tablet and making a link, I open Sky Portal, tap the connect and align button, and the Sky Portal program expects its usual three star alignment routine, ignoring the presence of the Starsense auto align. Am I doing something out of sequence, or failing to do something at all? Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
