I have an old Vixen Polaris, which I really like. Only problem is, you need a scope with tube rings to connect to the mount. Any ideas on how to set it up so I can mount a scope with a dovetail? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Jack

Jack; I picked up an old Polaris to use with a Pronto. I plan to make a mounting plate by starting with 1/4" (or 3/8") x1" wide aluminum flat bar then drilling & tapping the holes. Hope this helps, Bill

Go to
http://www.astro-physics.com
and look under
products -> mounting plates -> DOVESP
I'm fairly sure the hole spacing on the Polaris
and Super Polaris are the same, but you might
measure yours and e-mail Marj at AstroPhysics
to verify it will fit. The DOVESP works great
on my Super Polaris mount.
