Hi all, I am once again pondering the purchase of a newt. I have really enjoyed the vixen refractors I have owned. My only question is about the sliding focuser unit and how it compares with the standard types on most newts. I have done a few web searches and have not been able to find any reviews or information.

What I know, the public does not approve, and what is approved, I know to be error.

I have that scope set up as a dob. Very nicely constructed tube. The sliding focuser works very smooth and seems precise in every way. I believe they have been around a while using that design. I would not expect any issues. Kent
