I am currently in the process of rebuilding an older Skywatcher 120mm F8.3 scope and would like to replace the objective lense with one that is collimatible. Does anyone know where I can obtain this type of lense. I know this type of lense is in use by various scopes, ex: {Orion}, but have not been able to find one. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated. My current lense is in fine shape, but would the capability to adjust,if necessary. Thanks for listening.....Clear Skies to all....Terry

Terry,

Unless your glass is damaged, you only need to replace the cell, not the lens. You may be able to obtain one at Hands-on-Optics in the US or at Island Eyepiece in Canada.

good luck,

Do you have some reason to believe the scope was out of collimation?? Otherwise, I have gotten good service out of non collimateable scopes including a 120mm F/8.3.

I maybe wrong but I tend to think collimation cells on the scopes are more for show.
