HI all,
I'm thinking of buying a TAK FS102. I need a mount for it, but will be about tapped out money wise. Any ideas for a "decent" mount in the 300-500 range? Want to some photography eventually, but mostly visual. Am I dreaming?
Appreciate any opinions.
Thanks

A CG-5 mount that has been upgraded with wood legs does a good job with the FS102 for visual observing. It is also fine for digital snaps of the planets.

I used the Fs-102 on a CG-5 for for 2 years. Maxbright with
nagler and pentax eyepieces. With stock aluminum legs damp times were 7+ seconds.Naturewatch tall oak legs reduced damp
times to less than 2 seconds and also made viewing near the zenith much more comfortable.Great scope only reason I sold it was to purchase a Starmaster 11.
