F ratio on a 16 inch dob????

I am hogging a 16 inch blank that is currently at F6.02. I want this scope to be strickly deep sky (fainty fuzzies). Like most ATM's I have several projects going at once but I am undecided on this one and want some input. I originally was going for between F4.5 and F5 but now I am undecided. What does the group think is the best F ratio for a deep sky scope. I really have not done alot of deep sky observing yet. What would be a good FOV and what is the normal magnification one would normally use. What does everyone else have? Looking at the internet most commercial scopes seem to be F5 and most homemade of this size seem to be F6 or higher.

P.S. Eugene is my kind of guy if his binochair needs two drinkholders. :0) I'm sure this is just to keep things in balance.
