I unfortunately timed my vacation to stop by cherry springs in PA this Sunday...when the moon is almost full. Is it worth the trip? Like, will I see the milkyway?

It is worth it, however, to have a look at the beautiful site. The good people of the ASH, the Astronomical Society of Harrisburg, had me up some years ago as their speaker at the Cherry Springs Star Party. I was very much impressed by the site. Very much.
