Companion of Sirius? 4" refractor or 6" SCT?

I may be too late to attempt the companion of Sirius until later this year; I haven't checked its position in the sky lately. Has anyone had any success with detecting the companion with either of these size scopes? My refractor is a Skywatcher 4" F9, the SCT a Celestron. Thanks for any input.

Thanks Rod, it still may not be too late for me to give it a try; some of the best seeing I'd had here has been in April. From my experience with the companion of Antares, I know how important seeing is.😷🙂
