I just finished a book called ALL ABOUT THE STARS. My mother picked it up for my son who is eight. I got to reading it and i realized it must be an old book. It talked about going to the moon. And things we know for sure now were just ideas then. the book is by Anne Terry White. Copyright 1954. I hink i will put the book away and keep it. It just amazes me how we have advanced since then.

I LOVED those "All About" books when I was a kid. The library in town had a whole set. The one I remember most was "All About Dinosaurs".
I found a few old astronomy books in used bookstores with a dated 1890-1910. Talk about advances. They were speculating about what the living beings on Mars might look like! The Martian canals were accurately plotted and named. I'll have to dig those out again.
